Rose-Hulman Scholarships

@NorCalMom73 We are always walking around on move-in day. Email me your daughter’s name and I’ll be sure to stop by and say hello as you’re helping her put socks in the drawer. jared.goulding@rose-hulman.edu

I’ll pm you the link… it doesn’t seem to paste here

@TwoSue thanks for the link! I put in the ‘request’ but not getting the approval (2019 Parents closed group). Do I have to do more? :frowning:

Jared–D might already be in your email. She sent you an inquiry regarding financial aid before. I’ll have her message you again. Look forward to meeting you! :slight_smile:

NorCal, that’s all I did and I got an answer right away. Maybe try again? If that doesn’t work maybe you can pm me your Facebook name and I can try to get you in. It looks to be a great resource!

@NorCalMom73
Hi, congratulations to your daughter.
In the end, the scholarship amount offered by Rose Hulman was not enough to make it affordable for me without taking out a huge amount in loans. Considering that other than my math teacher, nobody I consulted had heard of Rose Hulman, taking out a large amount in loans to attend didn’t seem wise.
Good Luck to your daughter.
(For those needing a significant scholarship, I wouldn’t get too attached to RH)

I realize that this thread is a bit old, but one question. Im applying early action here and I know it is non-binding but does RHIT give a lot of financial aid if I come from a low-income family?

From the website financial aid FAQs… " Will the FAO be able to fill my entire financial need? In some cases yes, in others no. There are limits on the amount of financial aid money available. Depending on your situation, your costs may or may not be covered in full. The FAO strives to meet our students’ financial needs. It is very important to apply on time for full consideration for all financial aid programs."
Also, you will get your acceptance long before your financial aid package. They don’t give out aid until the regular decisions are done, sometime in March.
