Ross or McIntire?

Which is more prestigious?

just wondering.

They are both exactly equal. Choose based on fit.

Agreed, they are both very prestigious. In my mind they are an equal second to only Wharton.

I applied to both schools and am also wondering what the general distinguishing factors are between the two schools. Besides the obvious fact that they are on two fairly different campuses.

McIntire’s size and ICE curriculum set it apart from peers.

Ross will feed NYC and Chicago mostly, while UVA will feed NYC/DC/ATL/Charlotte

You see pretty easily how they differ from a numbers perspective. First of all, Ross is a 3 year program while McIntire is 2.

My D got accepted to Ross and to UVa. The advantage of Ross is that you get admitted to Business school right away, whereas at UVa, there is no guarantee that you will be admitted to McIntire. You will need to apply to it during your 2nd year. The acceptance rate into McIntire is 60%.

Although both Business schools are very good, my D picked UVa since it’s a better fit for her (weather, size, etc…). She is OOS for both.

Yeah, go to the one that is cheaper. UVA’s better weather would be the tiebreaker for me over Michigan.

Personally, all my friends ( including myself) that had to choose between UVA and UMich, picked UVA, because of the environment.

But you can’t go wrong attending Ross or McIntire.
