Does applying for an ROTC Scholarship improve my chances of being accepted into a better school, if my SAT scores put me well into the accepted median range but my GPA is crappy?

I'm not sure if it will improve your chances for getting in, but it will definitely improve your chances for paying for college. However, you should make sure you are going into this because you are serious about ROTC, not just to get into college.
Thanks,
But yes I am definitely serious about it, and money wasn't the motivation here either I was just wondering if it could also make me more competitive to a top-tier school if my GPA isn't where it should be but my SAT scores are near 2200?
