Rowan Choice Program/Pathways

Is anyone familiar with this program? I did not get into my first choice (engineering) but was offered this as an alternative. I can either settle for my second choice, and take classes at Rowan, or take Engineering classes at GCC and then transfer into Rowan as long as I hold up a 3.5 GPA. There is also a cost savings since the tuition is GCC rate and not Rowan tuition rate. Room and board would be the same and paid to Rowan. I haven’t been able to find out too much information on it and was hoping someone had personal experience with it.

Rowan is gettting harder and harder to get into their engineering program. I think they think they are a GA Tech or Va Tech. I would save your money and take the necessary classes at CC. Make sure though you sign up at your CC for the Pathways program, if you don’t from the start, you can not do it later and it creates a lot of problems with classes. Believe me, going through it now. Good luck

I have several friends whose kids have gone to RCGC–some who travel from other counties–and have nothing but good things to say about it.

One friend’s son almost did the Rowan Choice/Parhways for engineering but changed majors instead. From what they told me, the profs are Rowan profs and they were very impressed when they heard their presentations and talked to them. But they were warned, it’s very challenging.
