Any one get interviews yet?

Bump...bump.

nope...i didnt. But i just got into the rutgers 7 year med.How would u compare that to RPI/AMC?

i Guess that RPI focuses more on Research.

I want to be a surgeon but i am also very interested in research. and i really like RPI.

what about today...

hahaha

mad indians in this joint

anyway, when are we supposed to hear?

nope i haven't heard either

did you all completed a medical supplement??
I have gotten anything since submitting my common application and the common application supplement
thanks

There was no medical supplement that I am aware of for RPI, just an essay that was on the RPI supplement. RPI was for research, one of the other two was for humanitarianism and the other was for leadership in medicine, don't quite remember.

by the time i applied it was too late for RPI so i applied for the program at union
crosses fingers

I am at the Union Program, if anybody is around visiting or at an interview, hit me up, I'll give you a first-hand experience of the program. I'll be back on campus after Jan 6

Also, since I applied and got into these programs I'll give you guys an explanation of them.

Siena is a big volunteer/service oriented program. you have to do like a senior project where you help out in some 3rd world country. They actually dont take the most qualified applicants, because they dont want to make such a big gap between the kids in the prog and the regular school.

Union is about management and business, because you either get a MS or a MBA. You do a bio or chem major, a 2nd social science major of your choice, and the graduate courses. 8 year program

RPI is very research intensive as well as being a 7 year program. Throughout your undergrad years you work on research projects with doctors at albany med.

check out this site for more info: Albany Medical College - Pathways to becoming a physician at Albany Medical College

how were the interview for these programs and were there any additional medical supplements?

yea i applied to union but i havent heard anything at all from them about even receiving my application or anything. ps has anyone heard from ANY program schools about interviews?

i found out from temple for an interview

thats it though

rohan...can you please post your stats for getting into the rutgers program? thanks

Before you guys get an interview you need to get the Medical Supplement from Albany Medical College. Its not something you can just access. After your application is assessed some of you will get an email saying to fill it out and that you have one week to do it. It goes on a rolling admissions basis so the sooner they review your application the sooner you get the supplement. I got mine the week before Christmas last year. My cousin got in in January.

I applied to RPI and Siena in october and union late november

would that matter, or since i applied to at least 1 program in October i shud know soon?

It really just matters how soon they get to you in the pile not how early you applied. Don't worry if you dont get the supplement until january or even february.

wow theres an Albany Medical College supplement =O do you know when they notify people about the supplement/how many people they ask to do the supplement?
