RPI URochester or UMaryland Honors

I really don't know what to do-I want engineering-mechanical-not sure after that-I love physics-These are the top schools I was admitted to besides a wait list at Lehigh-I should have done more research before I applied-I know I'm lucky they are good schools-but which one? How is placement after in jobs? I've got to decide now Thks

What will be your net cost for each? Do you like snow? Do you like girls? Have you visited either?

pmcbts, there are many students that get accepted to to Lehigh and not Rochester and RPI.

For engineering, RPI is actually ranked higher than Lehigh and for the overall university, Rochester is ranked just as highly as Lehigh. So you should be happy at your situation.

Went to all three-don’t mind snow-not happy RPI has zero girls and Md will be the cheapest RPI and Rochester will be equal got same merit from both Thks

japanoko-Am i correct overall prestige-the best is Rochester or Lehigh Engineering ranking its RPI? What about Maryland?

You got accepted at three great schools that will all give you a good engineering education. Personally I prefer them all over Lehigh. Maryland is a big college with a lot of school spirit, and will have lots of offerings outside your major. It also has a lot of research ties with the government. RPI is a technically focused school, with great ties to industry. Rochester is smaller than Maryland, but more well rounded than RPI. You can’t go wrong with any choice. If you can afford all of them, you might think about what you could do with the savings if you choose Maryland. Also, what are your plans after graduating? - employers tend to recruit at nearby schools. If you are thinking about grad school, choose one where you think you can get good grades and that has some areas of research that you might be interested in supporting as an undergrad.
