Rsi 2007

what about a pure love for math?!?

that works too. it really depends, though, on how you expressed that love in your essays

Spudmanka...re your post #605

3 of 10 Intel/STS top 10 winner attended RSI....

2007 winners (the one's announced this week) or last year's winners?

the ones announced this week STS 2007. RSI '06ers

any rickoid in this thread got into MIT? so we can congrats them?

I doubt competitions make that much of a difference for RSI, seeing how many excellent candidates get rejected. My school has a club dedicated to science contests (including the olympiads), but even so that probably means very little.

pwafflesprinkles, National Science Bowl (NSB) is a Jeopardy-style science contest that tests on all areas of science. It's cool because unlike traditional competitions which are pencil and paper, NSB uses buzzers and is entirely verbal. Definitely gets the epinephrine going. :D

Exactly 14 days left until decisions ... :(.

Yep, congrats to any MIT class of 11ers. :)

... WORDS!

(so that the thread gets some new ones today)

uh... yeah. this thread probably won't get anything until decisions

agreed....

yes 12 days... i will sadly drop out of this thread when i'm rejected.. lol

a lot of 2006 rickoids are waiting for notice from cee concerning counselorships. in a less extreme way, we understand how you feel. the waiting does indeed suck.

woah...how is it fair that the TASP board gets special notice as a featured discussion, but RSI doesn't!!!!!
this is a blatant discrimination against science (haha...jk)

its the Religious Right's doing I tell you!!

..but seriously .. March SAT scores on the 29th, RSI on the 31st - 5th or so ..

those are things I am waiting on ..

alohasam: our good friends Vanilea, Corinao, and Susah got into MIT regular decision, I believe. Right guys?

Are any of you soon-to-be-graduates heading to National Youth Science Camp this summer?

Do they notify us by e-mail or mail? I live sooo far. Haha. I might be exaggerating, but it will take a few days for the snail mail to get to me...but it is more personal than e-mail, so I like it better...a bit....

our great friend SpudmanKA got into OLIN (on top of Caltech and MIT early)!!! free tuition is never bad :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spudman is definitely rOLIN!

they don't notify you by email. it's all snail mail. and you can't tell by the size of the letter, which intensifies the suspense.

I second donaldguy... too much waiting! I took the march sat as well

can you tell by thickness?

no. it's just a piece of paper, if i remember correctly. because the piece of paper asks you to accept your acceptance. then you'll get something bigger later.

thanks vanilea. so sweet of you. :-) you set on MIT now?
