Rush Test Score

Hi guys-

I applied to NYU on October 28th. Their official deadline was November 8th.

I just received my test scores back-highest I've had. I'm wondering if I should rush my test scores.

They told me at an open house they have a buffer period before reading applications, but I'm not sure if that applies because of their 8 day extended deadline..and I'm not sure how long rushed ACT scores take? I was thinking of rushing them anyway and calling NYU office of admissions and asking/checking on my status.

Thanks please respond asap!

I think it tells you in the ACT website how quickly rushed scores are sent- it may be within 24 hours. It’s all electronic. I think NYU will see your new scores if you rush them. I would call Monday or email your regional rep to find out if your file has already been reviewed. If not, it would seem reasonable to send them.

@lightning Thanks. Online it says it takes 2 days to process and 3-4 to send…this sounds like mail; electronically should be instant. Nonetheless, I’m going to do it. I’m just nervous and they won’t see it-it’s my ED school after all!

I would definitely send it and rush it. I know it should be instant, but the College Board is just…a wallet shrinker.

Hi guys I have a small issue -

I haven’t received my writing score back for the ACT, so the website says I can pay to send my score for a standard report and it won’t be processed until the full report is back…

I’m stuck! By the time I do get the writing score and then process it to be a rush report, they may have read my application. Not sure what to do!

Hi, any opinions anyone?

Call admissions Monday and/or email your regional rep and ask what is the latest date you can have your score sent and then do it as a rush if they say you still have some time. Rush is transmitted electronically to NYU (not all schools accept that service but NYU does). Doesn’t seem to make sense to send it without the writing score because NYU requires that.
