I'm thinking about rushing, but I heard there's a lot of commitments involved with sororities, so I'm kinda unsure about how I'll be able to balance my classwork with all that. For reference, I'm taking Chem 142, Math 124, and a Soc class. Does anyone have any input/info about Greek life at UW (Panhellenic sororities specifically)?

Greek life has many events you are required to attend. Some sororities make you pay fees for events that you don’t attend. It’s more than just a social commitment. With Math 124 and Chem 142- both weeder classes- you should find out the time constraints Greek life will have on your academics before you accept a bid. To be honest, autumn quarter is the make-or-break time for students with such classes.
