I partied a lot in high school and I plan on continuing to do it in college (but not until my studies are finished, THEN i go out). I also need to meet new people, as I am coming from the west coast and will know absolutely no one. So from what I've heard, Russel and Creswell seem like the places to be for me. My question to you is which is better, and why? Also if it matters, I'm a guy

I lived in Creswell and highly recommend it.

1) You don’t have to walk up a hill to get to it (or at least you don’t have to walk up as much as you would if you lived in Russell).
2) Dining hall right outside the door.
3) Easy access to every bus that comes around the area.
4) Closer to MLC/Tate area.

I’ve been inside Russell, and it isn’t any more special or nicer than Creswell. After walking around the hilly campus of UGA, you’ll rejoice in the satisfaction of not having to haul your butt up the hill to get to your dorm. I guess maybe the only ‘pro’ for you would be that the floors of Russell are co-ed, but really…not having to walk up a hill after a long day >> girls on the floor…then again, I’m a girl, so maybe my priorities are different :P

Jenmarie, it is so nice to see you post again…you must be finishing this term?
As I’ve said before, my son has been very happy with his Creswell choice, and I think that he will look back fondly on his freshman year partly because of his Creswell experience and the friends he has made there.
On a side note, next year he will be staying on ECV with 3 guys that lived in Meyers. From what he has told me, I don’t think that they will be looking back so fondly.
