I am not sure if this is the right forum, but I messed up on my Rutgers Application. I submitted the wrong code for the NJ Student Smart ID. It was a stupid mistake, and I already submitted it.... Can they reject me for that? I have 2200 SAT score, and excellent Extra-Curriculars but I feel so worried about this one thing. Rutgers is my top choice and I am very concerned. Help?

If I were you, I would call the admissions office and alert them to the error in your application. everyone makes mistakes.

I live in NJ as well. None of the kids at my Sons HS has the NJ “SmartID” number. The guidance counselor said to just leave it blank on the online form. I agree with the ursdad , call Rutgers (or send them an email with the correct information). I really dont think making this honest mistake will have any effect on whether you are admitted or not. Good Luck and dont stress out! 2200 SATS pretty much put you in a good position to get in to Rutger’s, IMHO.

Thank you so much! I e-mailed them and I will call tomorrow. Really, thanks.
