Hey everybody !
I am a transfer student from SCCC . I have 43 odd what credits, did pretty crappy my first year, I am currently at a 2.85 GPA.
I was an honor student in high school and graduated with a 3.85. I was apart or a few extra curricular activities and I am a certified EMT who also works two jobs.
My question is, do I have a shot of getting into Rutgers ? Do they only look at your GPA or do they look at who I am overall ?
Please help
They may look at other stats and qualities but GPA is what will matter most. Mainly because you’re a college transfer. Unfortunately, it’s going to be very difficult for you to get into any Rutgers NB School with that GPA. You may have a shot at Rutgers Newark. You should finish your associates degree and try to increase your GPA as much as you can. Which school are you planning to apply? I’m also a CC transfer and I was accepted into two schools (RBS-NWK and SAS-NB). I was declined to my primary choice - RBS-NB. My GPA at the time of application was 3.73 with 50 credits completed. I’m in state.
I also work part-part time, attend CC full-time at night and nonetheless to say, I’m a wife and mom so I know hard it’s for us to get good grades while still having to work/take care of other commitments. Just don’t give up.
