I have been accepted to both programs but I can't decide which one to choose. I'm not really looking for the typical college experience that NB offers but I have heard that more Companies prefer to recruit from NB rather than Newark due to higher admissions standards or something. But Newark is cheaper in fees and rent in the surrounding cities seems "cheaper" than around NB.

I'm hoping someone can offer some insight into what I should do. Any help is appreciated.

It depends on what major you are choosing for the business school. For instance I was also accepted into both schools but I wanted to major in Management Information Systems, which is only offered at the Newark Campus for some reason. I do agree that Rutgers NB is considered to be the “better” school than Rutgers NWK but its personal preference. To me Rutgers NWK did not seem that bad when I went to the open house. Also I lived in Newark for 16 years and I can say that it is not as bad as anybody proclaims it to be. Sure there are crimes that take place like everywhere else but you have to be aware of your surroundings. Do not go roaming around Newark at 11 oclock at night by yourself because that is just stupid. However if you are with a group of people you should be ok. Also the campus is pretty safe because there are many police officers from NJIT, Rutgers Police, Newark Police, and UMDNJ police patrol the area frequently and they are all armed not just a fat guy on a segway. Now if you want to rent an apartment outside the Newark Campus I would recommend trying to get an apartment at University Centre or at Society Hill( where I used to live when I was younger, it is guarded by police and security). Hope this helps you and good luck with whatever decision you make.
