I'm currently at Rutgers Camden and I receive financial aid. I only have 4 courses right now and am considering withdrawing from one of them. It's almost mid semester so will this effect my financial aid for this semester?

Will withdrawing drop you down to less than 12 credits (part-time is usually less than 12 credits)

yes, I’ll only have 10 credits this semester

You need to call your school’s FA office before dropping a class. At many schools, dropping down to 10 credits could mean that you’ll have to pay back some FA money that you’ve received.

You probably need to “suck it up” and work on that class and get your grades up (if you’re dropping because of grades)

thanks for your help…i did call so for anyone else with this question about Rutgers… if you withdraw from a class and receive a W on your transcript you are still paying for the course and it does not effect your financial aid.

How much financial aid does Rutgers give you?

areenaree, the OP hasn’t posted in over a year. Try starting your own thread. You can also look at Rutgers’ web site under financial aid.
