Rutgers Honors College

I was wondering. If you get into the Honors college are you guaranteed some amount of scholarship money.

And if so what’s the lowest you’ve every heard as an award.

I got into pharmacy and SAS honors college . Sadly nursing doesn’t have an honors college

I don’t think you are necessarily guaranteed because the decisions for merit scholarships are made independently of honors invitations. However, you have a very good chance since honors college is the highest honors invitation you can get and pharmacy is also tough to get into as well.

Agree. They do not want to commit that either Honors or scholarships are subsets of each other. They do admit to a clear correlation. Per admissions on Go Rutgers. ’ Honors invitations are made independently of merit scholarship and financial aid decisions; an honors invitation does not guarantee an award…I can say typically those who receive an honors offer are among our most competitive students academically so many of them are also among the top of the admitted student pool for the individual school and that is who scholarships are awarded to".

"Q: What scholarships are awarded to Honors College students?
A: All Honors College students receive a four year renewable scholarship. "

They don’t list a minimum amount Honor College students receive, but you’ll definitely receive something.

I’m in the honors college right now and I’m fairly sure the minimum amount most people are offered is enough to cover tuition, but not room & board.
