Is Newark any good?
I am thinking of transferring to newark from a college in midwest.
can anyone tell me what the dorms, bathrooms, cafe food, classes, campus life, and etc is like?
I would appreciate if someone would tell me about it.

hey there, the campus in Newark is actually really nice - even though it's right in the downtown Newark area. there are three dorm buildings, two older ones that are pretty typical of dorms I've seen in other places and one that was built very recently which is extremely nice. as for food, well, the cafeteria isn't that great, but there is a starbucks on campus and a lot of good places to eat right off campus (pizza, thai, a pub, subways, whatever you want really)

i'm not an undergrad - i actually work here and go to grad school, so you might want to schedule a visit and talk to some younger students to get more of a feel for the student life part, but generally my experience with the students has been that people are very friendly and open, and you've got people from all over the world studying here which is pretty cool. give admissions a call if you want to schedule a visit: 973-353-5205

if you just want general info check out Rutgers-Newark: The State University of New Jersey ... or for a casual look at some of the stuff going on, look at the photoblog: rnphotos.blogspot.com or twitter: Twitter / Rutgers_Newark
