Rutgers or TCNJ or another?

I want to major in finance and marketing and I live in NJ. I want to attend a college somewhat close to home and one that has a good reputation of job placements. Would Rutgers or TCNJ do me better?

What other schools in NJ do you think has a good business program?

Any in NYC?

Thanks =)

Jason

What are your stats?

Obviously NYU Stern is excellent for business.

NYU2013, thank you for your input. I forgot to mention some of my stats. I am going to be a transfer student from Ocean Community College, a community college in NJ. I am a NJSTARS student, which when I graduate, it will give me $7,000 in scholarships to transfer to another college in New Jersey only. My GPA is currently 3.95 and I have one more semester to go before I transfer.

I was actually looking at NYU. Many of my friends and family members went there, but what worries me is the cost. Do you think I will get any money for being an out of state resident with a high transfer GPA?

Thanks a lot!!

You may get money from NYU, but it’s not entirely likely since NYU is notorious for giving bad aid.

Very few schools give good financial aid to transfer students - I believe only the very top schools (the top ivys and the like) meet full need for transfers.

Back on topic though, Rutgers is superior to TCNJ in the business world because the Rutgers name is more widely known.
