Does anyone know the number of high school seniors that have been accepted into the Rutgers pharmacy program? and how many are enrolled until now?
No they haven’t released that information yet. And I doubt they will until May 1st
My son status still on the waiting list for the pharmd 0-6 program. Anyone heard anything from Rutgers??
You’ll probably hear in two weeks. With the systems being down last week, people had an extra week to enroll. So they haven’t gotten an official number of people in pharmacy. Once they do, they’ll look at the waitlist. But keep in mind, they notify people on the waitlist up until the end of June. But it should be faster for pharm bc they have very limited seats.
Pharmacy really isn’t a great field to be in so I wouldn’t be too concerned if you don’t get in. Market is extremely saturated in NJ and will be much worse in 6 years.
My son status got accepted into Rutgers Pharmacy off the waiting list. we are waiting on the award letter and any scholarships offers.
@ParentJRC congrats on Rutgers Pharm. I’m currently on the waiting list at Rutgers and would appreciate it if you could share your son’s stats.
Congrats on Rutgers! I would like to know your son’s stats too if you dont mind. I plan on applying soon and want to know if I have a chance.
He has an ACT total score of 29 and a GPA 4.0
I’ve been accepted into Rutgers Pharmacy but since I’m going through Stockton, I won’t be at Rutgers for two years. The general acceptance rate percentage ranges from like 4-9%. I don’t know the current stats and would love to know.
Congrats on your son being accepted! I had a 33 ACT /2130 SAT and a 4.0 GPA @Nishanth698
A little over 210 students are accepted every year. This drops to around 180 students before P1 year (people fail out, but most just decide pharmacy is not for them). Then around ~50-70 transfers are accepted/coming from other schools (like the person above) and the number goes back to 220ish. If you have over 2100, good gpa, and good class rank, you will be accepted. If you are waitlisted, it would not hurt to contact the pharmacy school and express your interest. Lastly, if you do not get in, I would not fret, as you can re-apply as a transfer in two years. It is not terribly difficult to transfer in if you maintain an extremely high GPA at another school (yes, even community college). You can also do an in school transfer at Rutgers. The only thing I hear now is that all transfers must take PCAT, even in-school. This is new, so I can’t really say much about it.
