Placement tests are coming up and I don't know what to study...
The only department that describes the test is english. They say there are three parts, mc critical reading, mc grammar, and a short essay.
What math levels are tested?
What are the foreign language tests like? more grammar or vocab? I haven't taken french in two years, what should I study?
Also how do AP tests work? Even if we get a 4 or 5 will these placement tests effect whether we can place out?

ok, i just got back from their open house today. I was told if you get a 4 or 5 on an AP test then the placement test for that subject isn't considered. So, the only test I'm worried about is French and I didn't have a chance go to that their info session, so I still have no clue what their test will be like.

uhmm, when are the placement tests going to happena and on what date? btw i just came back from the open house also lol

Last name A-M: April 23
Last name N-Z: April 30
8:30-3:30

but they said it doesn't really matter which day you go. and you don't have to register or anything just show up.

Those dates don't make sense. We have until May 1st to commit so what happens if you commit after those dates?

Check out this website for incoming students: https://rutgerscollege.rutgers.edu/income.htm
It lists those two dates and says there are a few make-up dates in june and july. But remember these tests are only for Rutgers College students.

I enrolled in the School of Engineering and picked RU college as my college of affiliation. Do I take the RU college placement test? I figured that I should since the school of engineering doesn't have its own english/foreign language classes. Is there a special engineering placement test?

Yeah you have to take the egineering tests, not the rutgers college tests. Not exactly sure when they are (maybe this weekend?), but you should receive something in the mail.

I am in the same place as you science please and i just took the placement tests this past weekend. They do it by last name. I think A-M was this past weekend and everyone else is this coming up weekend, i might be wrong about the date for everyone else. When i got there though, they said that the whole last name thing didnt matter and as long as you show up on one of the dates then you are fine. I got something in the mail like a few days after i sent in my deposit. And by the way dont worry about the tests cause they werent bad at all.
