herothydragon,

the rejections I am referring to are regarding the Fall 09 semester. I also wouldn't like for anyone to be rejected. However, if someone were to be rejected, I would like to know the reason behind it.

annieesays, You are currently a freshmen trying to transfer. Most likely, they are asking for your spring semester record because 1) basing their decision on just your performance in one semester is not sufficient to reach a decision. 2) You need certain amount of credits to be consider a transfer, and you will only satisfy that if you pass all your current classes.

annieesays,

Exactly, how many credits did you apply with?

i have 4 credits from the summer, 15 from my fall semester and the two together gives me a 3.8 gpa. I am currently taking 12 credits this semester.

I'm in but if I'm going to be put in a hotel I'll probably just go back to binghamton or go to bergen cc for another semester :(

John Butler, stop wining like a baby. No one on these hotel posts have yet explain why he or she really hates the hotels but only cries about it. Is it the little extra commute (4 miles from college ave)? Toughen up people

Congrats John Butler!!! I don't think a hotel is goining to be that bad.
When did you apply?

Hero,

Alright Hero!! Congratulations! Will you receive preference (or is there any preference) as an "admitted" Rutgers student looking to transfer within the Rutgers umbrella of schools?
Seems like there should be.

Kookie1,

Hey Kookie1. I havent tried to contact admissions yet. I feel like contacting them would be fruitless because they would probably just tell me to wait until the priority notification date before seeking additional assitance. I checked my status again and its still the same. Its been almost one month now since they've last checked my application. Not much longer now.

Has anyone received a decision (i.e. Admitted, Not Admitted, Wait-listed) tonight?

hey hero why don't you suck me? :) I would like to live on a campus surrounded by a plethora of other students, near a gym that is more than likely better than the ones in the hotels considering I lift all the time. If the post about honors kids still getting housing is true then I don't have much to worry about cause I have a 3.85 1st semester and currently have a 3.9 this semester and will have 45 credits when this semester is done, but if my options at Binghamton are better I'll probably just go back there since it's better for my major anyway.

Has anyone applied after Jan 15 receive any decision yet?

I applied 1/30 and still no decision yet

Just checked my status today. It says they reviewed my file on 4/2. The Status has now been changed to "NOT ADMITTED".

I just dont understand. I have over 60 credits. I'm graduating from RVCC this spring and currently have a 3.98 gpa and am a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I also made certain to have all my documents in on time AND wrote a really passionate essay. I have various service learnings on my leadership transcript and have just been nominated for the Academic Award for Service Learning for A.Y. 2008-2009 by one of my professors. Not to mention the fact that I volutneer at a head start program for low ses children!

I just can't believe it.

Sorry about the rant guys.........just needed to vent my shock.

Hope everyone else gets in!! Good luck to All!

Regards, Not so RU-Ready after all.

RU-Ready,

I would almost guarantee that your NOT ADMITTED was a clerical error. I too was a Kappan but with a mere 3.49 GPA through 62 credits at another county college. I was accepted to New Brunswick SAS and Newark Business. I would wait till you get the letter or give Transfer admissions a call.

RU-Ready,
I believe that there is some kind of a mistake or something. Why would they deny you. I think you should contact them and fight it. I have a feeling that they would reconsider application, and change your status to ADMITTED.

Now I'm even more worried :(

Good luck everyone

RU, there's definitely some kind of clerical problem from their side. Don't worry, 99% chance they will change their decision. Make sure to call admissions!

What schools did you apply to?

Hey all. Thanks for the encouragement.

I applied to SAS New Brunswick. I contacted the admissions department today and left a message for Ms. Burnett. I also called the direct line to New Brunswick admissions and spoke with one of the phone reps. They apparently have a form which they fill out with any pertinent information which they intern pass along to a "special" counselor for review. I was informed that someone woulod be containg me by Monday.

I'm just perplexed. I thought SAS New Brunswick was the easiest school to get in to. I really hope that its a clerical error which can be fixed as i havent applied anywhere else. That's what i get for assuming I would get in. I checked Kean already and it looks like they have a July cutoff date. I'll wait till I hear back from Rutgers Admissions before I move on to plan B.

I'm sure it was a mistake - it seems to be happening a lot lately! I hope they contact you soon.

Wow, after seeing RU-READY rejection, I don't even know what to think. But, RU-READY I'm sorry this happened to you , but I also think it was a clerical mistake. There is no way this rejection is accurate.

RU-Ready, were your status dates updated anytime before the "Not Admitted"? I think when someone is rejected, they will update right away whereas they might update the status dates and then updated again with "Admitted" decision.

*Ru-Ready, call them, you are definitely admitted.
