Rutgers Transfer FALL 2009 Anyone waiting for acceptance with me?

Anyone recieve acceptance/rejection from rutgers applying after priority deadline???

I applied 2 weeks after deadline and still waiting... i figure they will tell me sometime in April

jogirl223

yes my incompetent old high school guidence office struck again as they sent my transcipt to the wrong school by mistake.

Rutgers didnt get that part of the application until the middle of february but i got my acceptance 2 days ago.

Congrats Oleosmirf! I had same problem with my community college transcripts Rutgers did not receive them till February 26th any idea if they have a deadline to tell everyone they have been accepted/rejected just so i know how much longer i have to wait impatiently.

hey magent311,

I applied way back in November, and Rutgers received all of my credentials by Jan. 07.
I would like to think that it takes longer for Rutgers to accept than reject, but IDK. But, I have noticed that most of the transfers that have received a decision so far have their associates degree or credits equivalent to it. by the end of this spring semester, I will have 32 credits, so maybe that is why I have yet to get a decision.

I didn't go to county college. I'm a freshman at TCNJ, and I'll have 32 credits at the end of the year...(unless you count the 55 credits I walked in with from AP credits/cc credits from dual-credit program at high school).

Hello Everyone! I got accepted by Rutgers-School of Engineering. I had 42 credits completed with a decent GPA. And, it is true that 3.0 GPA is the requirement to apply. One has to compete with higher GPA applications. Moreover, School of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, School of Engineering, and Business School - New Brunswick are considered competitive. Rutgers - New Brunswick - SAS is the easiest college to get admissions. Updated status screen without decision is a positive sign, they consider you for admissions. You'll be admitted shortly. Good Luck, Guys, n Gals... Hope to see you ALL at this great institution - Public Ivy - Rutgers - The State University of New Jersey - New Brunswick!

no idea but they seem to be responding based on when they received it although what schools often do is if your on the borderline they will put u in a seperate pile and then reevaluate you based on how many more spots there are.

so if you handed in your application before the priority deadline and you haven't heard your probably going to be reevaluted

I've been checking my status everyday and have yet to be accepted. The last time they updated my status was 3/9/09. I am applying to Rutgers SAS with an associates degree and 3.98 GPA from Raritan Valley Community College. A good friend of mine is also applying to Rutgers business in newark and she hasnt heard anything either. I wonder what's taking them so long.

RU-READY,

I am surprise you have not been accepted yet. Rutgers SAS is like the easiest school to be admitted and your GPA is higher than mines and I got accepted to the SAS two weeks ago. This only means that you will be admitted very soon.

I have always been curious on how someone can earn a gpa like a 3.99 or 3.98 during their time in a CC. I am graduating this semester at a CC with 83 credits, and my gpa is a 3.96 because of 1 B. I could take 30 more credits and receive all A's and my gpa will only move to a 3.973. That would be a total of 113 credits, but most CC students graduate with 60-65 credits. Can some one explain this to me.

When I checked my status today, it said that it was updated on 3/27. How soon after this should I expect to receive a decision?

RU-Ready

stop worrying, not only are you getting in but with any student who transfers in with a 3.8 or higher gets a $8000 scholarship.

herothydragon

technically you can have all As and one B+ in a 1 credit class. also why would you take 83 credits. rutgers will only accept 60...

Oleosmirf, a B in a 1 credit class would explain it but I couldn't relate because I took nothing less than a 3 credit class.

I think everyone should have well above 60 credits at a CC if they took all the classes they needed for their degree in addition to everything NJtransfer recommended. For instance, my degree in CC is business administration and it requires no science courses. According to NJtransfer, however, I needed 2 science-lab courses. Further, I had to take courses I knew would not transfer (e.g. health) but I still took it for my degree.

Accepted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was accepted at Rutgers College of Nursing (New Brunswick)
I am so happy! Anyone is going to College of Nursing program?

"RU-Ready

stop worrying, not only are you getting in but with any student who transfers in with a 3.8 or higher gets a $8000 scholarship."

^ where did you get the information for that?

No i applied AFTER the priority deadline i know some people did the same and already received a decision is it true that Rutgers will give everyone a decision by April 15th?

zircushio, I believe he got the information right here :
Transfer Scholarships

There is more to it than getting a 3.8 to get that scholarship but I guess that's the hardest part lol

And jogirl223, the priority notification date is April 15th for transfer students. Since you applied after priority deadline, you are considered on a space-available basis. Thus, there is no promised date for you to receive notification.

I applied and they received everything before Jan 15th, but in February they said they needed an updated version of my transcript even they it said they received my transcript before that too (the non updated version).. does that mean I am put if they have space available and that they will get back to me by April 15th?

yes considering he said his GPA is 3.9 something and he 83 credits, i assumed he was Phi Theta Kappa and will have an Assosicates Degree
