you know whats funny, i just got rejected from Rowan's Business School b/c apparently i need to have completed Statistics before I applied (even though i have like a 95 in the class right now).

i better get into the Rutgers Business School or else i'm screwed...

Oleosmirf, I think you got some information confused. I have the 83 credit, and 3.96 gpa. It was RU-READY that you directed that statement to who said he had a 3.9. I already know all about the rutgers scholarship and I forgot to mention, it is not guaranteed also even if you are eligible, you still have to compete for it.

That is ridiculous of Rowan to reject you for that reason. But look at it this way. If you were accepted to Rowan, you would have to reply and tell them either your enrolling or not by May 1st. And i'm sure you wouldn't want to give them your decision yet until you apply to Rutgers business school and see if your admitted or not. The thing is Rutgers Business school application is available July, so you would have to reject Rowan by ignoring their reply date since it is before July. Thus, everyone who are applying to Rutger business school had to "burn all bridges."

valid point on Rowan, i dont want to go there anyway. The problem is if dont get into the business school, i'm screwed as an Economics degree is pretty much useless in this economy...

i'd probably have to lose a year in school, and double major in something like history and then reapply to the B-School during the year...

Oleosmirf, I understand what you're saying but not all is lost and hopeless...if you're an Accounting major that is. Here is another way to look at it if you're not accepted to the business school for accounting: All accountants know that if you want to advance your career, you must take the CPA exam. To sit for the exam, you must have 150 college credits. That translates into an extra year of college. Hence, if your not accepted, you spend that one year in the SAS taking ******** classes (to raise gpa) or fun classes you always wanted to take besides business courses. Then you reapply to business school where you will get priority because you are already in SAS. This is the second best route to take because if I do get accepted to the business school this year, I would still stay an extra year to get that 150 credits except I wouldn't be taking pointless classes this time. Big fours don't even look at you if you don't have 150 credits. So stop worrying and get some sleep lol

Wow. Now i'm really worried. I checked my application status this am and it still hasnt been updated since 3/9/09. I am in the process of ascertaining my Associates of Arts in Teaching @ RVCC which requires a minimum of 61 college credits to fulfill degree requirements. To date I have taken 63 credits for which i've received one B+. All the rest have been A's. I recieved my B+ the first or second semester i attended RVCC. Since then my gpa has crept up at a painfully slow pace.

Congratulations on your acceptance!!!!!

That would be great!! I could certainly use the money seeing how i was going to have to take out a student loan. I only took 63 credits @ RVCC, not 83. Unfortunately i too had to take additional classes to satisfy my degree requirements which are not transferrable to RU.

how long does it typically take Rutgers to post a decision after they have updated your status? My status was updated on 3/27/09 even after all my materials had been received. Should I expect to hear back within a week?

Yes, I would like to know the answer to the same question jdavid89 asked. Typically, how long does it take to get a decision after your screen has updated? My screen last updated on 3/25/09.

accepted to SAS!!
I really want to thank NJDetermined & kookie1 for advising me to try for SAS after being waitlisted for nursing - this is such a relief!

I do have to wait to hear back from tcnj's nursing program, but overall, Rutgers has been my first choice and I can't believe they got back to me so soon.

:-D
I was very suprised - I log into the status screen so much I hardly even look at the screen anymore, so it caught me off guard! I was expecting to wait until the end of April! I think they just felt bad for me for getting shot down by nursing haha

yea, I only applied to SAS because I either want to do math or transfer into the business school after next year and study accounting. I would assume that the status screen updates after 5 each night. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
