I applied to Rutgers my senior year only to be wait listed. Due to the competitiveness and etc, by the time I was notified that I didn't get in, I already had chosen a college. I chose Pace University in NYC, but I wanted to give RU another shot. With that said, I recently just completed by fall term and applied to RU as a transfer student.

I got the decision before the New Year, only to say that yet again NB denied me but I was granted admission to the Newark campus. Still being under the weather by this bittersweet decision, I chose Newark. I am currently in my spring semester there and there is no problem except one. The commute is about 45 mins daily, when the New Brunswick campus is 10 mins away form my house. It is costing me alot of money to commute all the way down to Newark. This is where the plot thickens...

Somebody mentioned that Rutgers did this thing called "College to College Transfer," which allows student to transfer within any Rutgers schools. It is different that applying again because you have to simpy state your reason why in a short 2000 word paragraph, and maintain a 3.0 gpa. So I just recently completed and sent it my application and here I am now, wondering what are my odds of getting in?

They must wait until I finish this semester, but can Rah Rah really screw me over 3 times in a row? I mean I am stressign hardcore because I really want to attend RU NB for the Fall of 2009.

Does anybody know how this "college to college transfer" process works and the feedback it usually gets? Anything can help please!

that'd be awesome if admissions decisions started coming out this week. the earlier you hear back the better your chance for on campus housing im guessing?

Hello!! I am currently studying at Bergen Community College; I was wondering if I can still apply to Rutgers NB? This is my second semester going to BCC and I have received a GPA of 3.5 during the last semester. In total with this semester I have completed 20 credits. Am I eligible for a transfer student?? I really want to transfer out ASAP!!!
Please help me out!!

hey yes you are eligible to apply but your app will be looked at on a space available basis. Btw i'm studying at Bergen this semester too, how do you like it?

yeah i'm guessing the better campus housing possible. i applied in early september, but they didn't get my transcripts until mid januaryish. no one else has heard back? :(

for anyone who has been accepted as a transfer to Rutgers, did you receive and email notifying you of the acceptance? if so, was the email prior or subsequent to the final update of your status screen?

wow. i applied like 2 days ago and my transcripts are going out today i think.
but after reading everyone's stories, it doesnt seem like im going to get in.
ughh. got denied teh first time i applied.

they dont look at SAT's if you have above 30 credits which i did..

i have a 3.7 GPA in molecular biology with a minor in chemistry. i have two internships with some very well known surgeons and internal medicine physician and i played 3 intramural sports in college while working 2 jobs. i try to stay active with clubs and volunteering and i think in the past 4 years, i have over 2000 hours of volunteering as well.

hey did u look into this fully? New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences states here you need to have completed 2 semesters (or currently be in the 2nd) of rutgers (any campus). I'm looking at PART 2. This is for the college to college transfer. If i understand fully you are in your first semester as a spring student?

Secondly, would a summer semester count for this ? has anyone went through this process?

I checked this morning just because I'm on spring break and have been checking like twice a day. I looked at the Applicant Process box, and it said "Not Admitted." I called them up to make sure that it meant rejected, and the lady said i was definitely rejected. She asked if i wanted an "action form" filled out, which apparently means that they send you a letter saying why they rejected you. I'm not lying. I'm not making this up, and I'm as shocked as anybody else. The reason better be good. I'm already ****ed.

I applied before priority notification date and everything. I'm about ready to go ballistic at this point, especially considering I was banking on getting transferred.
