My daughter is starting her senior year and we have spent the spring and summer visiting colleges. I'm glad we did because we discovered that she is looking for a women's college. I also believe that would be a good, small college experience.

We live in New Jersey and are considering the Douglass Residential Program for Women. We visited and were impressed. This fall, however, Rutgers has 10,000 freshman on five campuses. How do you survive that size? If you are interested in English, will a professor actually read anything you write freshman year?

I am trying to decide whether she should apply to this university.
