Hey,

Has anyone heard anything good/bad about CSU Sacramento's electrical engineering program? I am currently a junior level CC transfer student with around a 3.55 GPA, and my two options are that I can either transfer to Sac State in August and finish up my degree within 3 years, or I can stay another year at my CC to finish more major requirements and apply to transfer to Cal Poly, UCSB, UCB (super reach, I know), or UCD. Waiting a year for these programs would basically mean it would take me another year to graduate realistically however (based on the curriculums i've built and re-checked numerous times), and I'm also interested in pursuing my masters degree after I graduate. The sooner I can get out of financial hardship the better as I'm basically trying to cover this all between a job and what financial aid I can get, but I have absolutely no problem waiting an additional year if I would be at much more of an advantage. The problem is I'm not sure if I'd be selling myself short to just transfer in August and graduate with my BS a year earlier? I know I can just transfer out after I graduate for my masters if I dont like Sac State; but don't want to attend a ridiculously bad undergraduate program, and I'm afraid that could possibly happen if i'm not careful. Between working and a full load of classes, i'm not sure if I can get up to Sacramento between now and May to check it out first hand, and I can't find nearly anything online that gives a good perspective of this program besides 'good professors, crappy commuter school.'.. And no, I dont care if there isn't a lot of school spirit or if the school isn't in a great neighborhood, I'm only interested in the credibility of the undergraduate program itself. Has anyone heard anything about this program?
