So sorry to hear this sad news. Lookingforward was always generous about sharing her wisdom here; her presence was palpable and she will be missed. RIP. Condolences to her family and friends.

Such sad news.

Yes, so sad. I’m a little bit stunned …CC just won’t feel the same without her. She seemed to be always here, day in and day out. I believe she may have posted on the very first thread I created several years ago, and she was last last person to write on my last thread (Jan 22) …very supportively, I might add. Wherever she may be in the universe, I hope she is still …looking forward.

I always appreciated her practical, no-nonsense, honest approach to college admissions. I will miss her input, and I’m sure her family and friends will miss her even more.

I am so sorry to hear this. She made it clear that you had to figure out what each college was looking for and that they weren’t all the same. We will miss her.

She will be missed. Her knowledge and intellect were invaluable.

One of the beauties of cc is that there are the times you are lucky enough to get to know the person behind the posts; their life outside of the world of college planning. Even though lookingforward worked (After her career in consulting) in the in the world of higher education, she volunteered with a bereavement support group, she asked for west coast restaurant tips when she took a girls trip with her friends a few years ago, and she enjoyed classical music. Her last text to me, a few weeks back, shows a glimpse into who she was as a person. Sleep gently, lookingforward. You will be missed. Her text: “ I asked for an Echo Dot for Xmas. We’re in a bit of a radio sinkhole on my street. And I never got into online listening to classical programs.

Well, growing up and for years, on Saturdays, we listened to Live from the Met. (Did you?) Wherever we lived. But local stations stopped subscribing.

And now I’ve got La Traviata pumping into my bedroom. Happy heart, fond memories. Had to tell someone. :two_hearts:
