According to the Daily Beast, it's Cornell, followed by Dartmouth and Princeton.
The Daily Beast ranking, with most dangerous first...
Harvard
Penn
Brown
Columbia
Yale
Princeton
Dartmouth
Cornell

this list is hilarious
penn and brown beat columbia, yale, and princeton in terms of difficulty in gaining admissions?
and yeah, cornell is prob the safetest ivy to apply to; i’m glad you’ve found such an excellent reason
for applying.
now why don’t you go post another cornell v. **** post that you seem to be so fond of

Talking crime here, not admissions! Think you misunderstood! Daily Beast believes Cornell students are least likely to be crime victims.

roanadain… take it easy.
It’s gonna be alright, I promise… :)

ha, sorry
this week is proving to be a general crapfest, and i’m really cranky these days…

.

I knew about this daily beast ranking already, but when I read the title of the post I thought of roanadain’s interpretation…I think the use of the word “safe” on CC is kind of technical.

Should have entitled this thread - Least Dangerous Ivy School!

damn roanadain

Much different from the person I met! :P

ha, this is me after 3 hours of trying to understand cell membranes.

I would agree that Cornell is a very safe environment for college students. Two of my kids are in their fourth year and they still leave the door to their apartment open if they are running into a college town store…ugh. We have not received any info regarding serious crimes since they have been there and they always say theat they feel completely safe wherever they go.

By the way for those of you who think it is so easy to get into Cornell…You are aware that it is the largest Ivy so they do accept more students. If you think the other Ivys are better than you are fooling yourself.

Okay… how in the world is Harvard more dangerous than Penn? Come on. I’ve spent ample time in both and Harvard’s a nice funky little urban enclave while Penn still has a lot of dangerous neighborhoods in the vicinity. I love how even that ranking has to put Harvard at the top and Cornell at the bottom, even though 1st place should go to Cornell for being the safest of their list.

^ Cornell is the safest…Harvard is the least safe. I am sure it has to do with reported crimes. I would have thought Penn to be the school with the most reported incidents.

you could have just ordered it from most urban to least urban…

the only crimes committed at cornell are by townies

This might be why Harvard is least safe?
there have been a spate of break-ins and laptops stolen in college town over the last few weeks…don’t ask how I know this.
