safety schools w/ strong IR program

hey guys, im looking for some SAFTEY schools w/ a good program in IR/ IS. please dont name some obvious schools like gtown, hopkins, tufts, brown, pton, cmc, or mac (which btw, are all not safeties!). id prefer some where on the east coast near DC or boston. i dont really care whether its a national university or a LAC, but i dont want somewhere huge (im from cali, and i dont want anything near the size of the UCs). i like the "typical" campus feel (so nothing like nyu or gw). also, and this is a must, the school must have a strong and diverse study abroad program. o and if any of you know of any schools that have a particularly strong Latin American studies program, please include that also. if you know of any schools that may fit this criteria, then please post! thanks!

Sounds like Northeastern could be a possibility. Although, it is hard for anyone to give you safeties without some idea of your stats.

Brandeis. And I agree with ebeeee these are all just a shot in dark without knowing about you.

Occidental? Depends on your stats though.

How about American?

Seton Hall University , partnership with the United Nations.

Syracuse has a good IR Program.

here are some stats for you guys to work w/
cali, hispanic girl, low income, first gen
SAT: 2270
SAT IIs: all 3 above 700
GPA: 3.93 uw, well over 4.0 w (w/ the "very demanding/ most demanding" courseload)
solid ecs and really good recs
essays are pretty good

^holy ****, i don't even think you need to worry about safeties being an URM and first gen with stats like those. my guess is that you are in at princeton, lol.

but yeah, american is what came to mind first...and then i realized by "safety" you meant "where will i get a full ride" ;).

Congratz!!! Based on your stats, ecs, essays, and your *background *, you are almost shoe-in for any private colleges (inc. HYPS) with full scholarship.

Now the hardest part would be which one to choose. Again congratz for the job well done.

Tulane might have the Latin American program you want...

Other Safeties with Strong International Relations Programs

University of Maryland - College Park
George Washington University
Boston University

chickenand stars~ check out American. and by the way, as of last year , University of Maryland, College Park DID NOT have an IR major! my d. got accepted there, but withour an IR major, couldn't consider it!
