I recently visited saic and had an interview with an admissions counselor. My portfolio was approved. I am a transfer student. I had very good grades in high school and a very high GPA. However, my college GPA is unimpressive. It's a 2.88. How important are grades when applying to saic? More importantly, does my GPA cut it, especially as a transfer student? I recently finished all of the requirements for the application but I don't want to get my hopes up. Does approval of my portfolio basically mean I was accepted even with my sub par college transcripts? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

someone pleeeease give me feed back. please.

I recently got my portfolio approved as well. As far as I understand, the portfolio counts for a heavy weightage, so I would say that you have a much better chance getting in if they’ve approved your portfolio.

Just realised you posted this 3 years ago haha where are you now?
