<p>Has anyone ever transfered from SAIC to another school? With the credit/no credit system, I'm wondering if one would have to basically start over at the new school.</p>

<p>No, I'm considering transferring there and they've already calculated my credits from OSU, and almost everything counts, I should be able to be out of there in 2-3 years.</p>

<p>SAIC will give you grades if you prefer. I believe you have to tell each instructor at the beginning of the semester. The admissions counselor we met with suggested this if you thought you might want to transfer out.</p>

<p>@AdvMom: seriously? Are those grades that will matter when students are applying for a grad school/apply for jobs?</p>

<p>For grad school or a job, the grades probably have little, if any, value. However, if you might transfer to another school instead of getting a BFA from SAIC, the other school might want to see grades before they give you credit for those classes.</p>

<p>AdvMom: Thanks for the advice. Exactly my concern...that if my d decides she doesn't want to stay at SAIC, she might not get credit for the SAIC courses she has taken toward a BFA elsewhere. I'm pretty confident she's going to love it, but just in case...she should ask the professors for grades.</p>
