<p>Hey guys. I just called them 1(877)333-0284 and there was 31,000 applicants and 5487 semifinalist were chosen. They don’t know the actual amount of scholarships there are gonna give this year. Last year they gave out 2691 scholarships.</p>
<p>We have about a 50% chance of receiving this scholarship. Good luck to all. I hope the information I have provided is helpful.</p>
<p>I had called up to see whether I’m a semifinalist or not and they said to email them, since all the representatives are busy. Time to wait another day and call back if I dont get a message back by tomorrow…</p>

<p>Quick question…do you think we should send in additional documents (such as college acceptance letters/etc. etc.) or would that seem too desperate? It doesn’t say anything about disqualification for extra documents…</p>
<p>umm i’m confused. last night i got the email saying that i advanced to the semifinalist stage and then today it said that i didn’t make it. is this a mistake?</p>

<p>Edit: Sent them an email using the Contact Us form, and I also called them. Their offices are closed though. If I don’t get a response by tomorrow morning I’m going to call them again.</p>

<p>Thank you everyone on CC for being in the same situation! I was so paranoid when I got the second e-mail. What does this mean? Do you guys think this was just an automated e-mail. If I’m actually not a semi-finalist, I going to be very upset. I already sent in my stuff for the semi-finalist stage.</p>

<p>I checked the Review My Status link on the original e-mail. It still said that I was a semi-finalists. Right now, I’m going to go with that.</p>
<p>Yeah, I have no idea either. I received the email last night that I was a Semi-Finalist, then later on this evening I got a message that said i’m not. But when I go online to the website it still asks me to send all the required documentation. ugh!</p>
<p>Good to hear we are all in the same situation. I think we should not panic because if our ‘check status’ says the information about the required documentation then we are okay!</p>
<p>I got two emails from them too, one from last night saying that I’m a semifinalist and another one that I got 15 minutes ago saying sike. ;-;</p>
