has anyone ever had this? D really studied, had great strategies, was in a much better mood, did not guess on a single unknown question this time. Just by sheer planning and test plan she should have bumped up 50-100 points. Plus she knew much more math from past CB practice tests and daily practice with a math tutor. How could she have earned the same exact score.?? Not by one or two points, but same exact number on both tests. Thoughts?

just to clarify…same exact score on the June and Oct tests for BOTH the Math AND the Critical Reading

I read a statistic showing that approximately ten percent of students who retake the SAT get the same score. Fifty-five percent improve (although the median increase is 50 points); thirty-five percent of scores go down. In context, there was never a statistical likelihood of bringing scores up by more than fifty points, but it was likelier than remaining exactly the same.

Unattributed stats are not much help… I sent an email to a ban to see if there could perhaps have been a glitch…seeing as both scores are exactly the same. I am way out of the country and can’t get a call to go thru. Will call next week and will post here with the words of wisdom from College Board.

Welp. I think you know what scores you have to work with for admission.
