Hi,

been through this forum a little, and i don't want my question to get too complicated.

I'm kind of deciding between getting a Masters in Accountancy at SJSU or going for the Certificate in Advanced Accounting Proficiency (CAAP) at Santa Clara University.

some background, i graduated UCI w/ a degree in Bus Econ, minoring in Management, but not having a job has made me feel really incompetent. (my gpa wasn't the greatest either, 3.16)

I wanted to know some information of the two programs (pros and cons, chances of getting in, how the networking is, how likely it is to get a job out of each of the programs, how well the programs prepare you for work and any other advice/tips)

I've done some research and know the SJSU program is about 13 months, ~30 students, and have read that the big 4 recruit there. I'd need to take my gmat, get some recs, and interview also. (i'd probably shoot for next year's 2012 program, as i don't have the recs and don't think i can get my gmat in on time)

I'm a bit less knowledgeable about the CAAP program at scu, i know there's a ~3 month summer program or 8 month weekend program, rolling admissions, 2.5gpa min req.,

Any ideas on what i should shoot for? what should i be doing from now until i get into the programs also?

kindof a lot of questions, and they might not all be good, but i'm looking for some guidance and i know there are a lot of experienced professionals out there.

Thanks in advance guys! REALLY appreciate this forum.
