I'm majoring in business and I am having trouble deciding where I want to go. Of course I would love to go to Berkeley or UCLA but I don't have the grades for those schools.

So I have narrowed my choices down to Santa Clara University and UCSB, I would love to hear suggestions and comments about these schools and if you think that they are good schools for business.

Also, if you have any suggestions about other schools in California that would help a lot!!
oh, my GPA is 3.5 and I will be a transfer student if that helps at all.

Between those two I would go to UCSB in a heartbeat, but you need to expand your choices. UC Riverside actually is pretty decent in business. That said if your 3.5 GPA is from a CC then you have a shot at UCLA and Cal, so apply.

Business Week ranks Santa Clara 32nd in the country. UCSB isn’t ranked in the top 100. The internships available from Santa Clara in Silicon Valley are very extensive, and the education is said to be top notch.

That said, the costs could be massively different, and should play into your thinking.

I don’t think UCLA has an undergraduate business school. And Haas is fiendishly difficult to get in, even for Berkeley students.

kiwigirl i wud choose SCU over UCSB for a business major… im in the same dilema if have a 3.35 gpa majoring in business my first choice is santa barbara cuz i dont have the grades for ucla or cal… my second choices are sjsu or lbsu… u might have a chance at ucla so shud still apply, i kno u dont have a chance at cal (sorry but statistics dont lie). as to san diego i hear its the best cal state for business, but i dont know if your down to got to a csu with ur gpa… hope thats helps
