Santa Clara University vs University of California DAVIS?

<p>I'm majoring in computer engineering and was wondering which would make a better choice for my major? I got into both, (which just notified me yesterday) (waitlist), and i have till may 6th to decide. At Santa Clara I will be staying with my parents as the tuition alone without room and board, etc, is $37,000. At UC Davis I will reside in dorms, where the tuition is only $13,000 and with room and board and fees its around $26,000. I still don't know where to go and am visiting Davis tomorrow. I also have a question for those at Davis. If you are waitlisted do you still have the option of picking who to dorm with? Cus it be pretty cool if I could room with a few of my buddies that are going there. Thanks for reading!</p>

<p>Many moons ago I had that same decision, though it was electrical engineering, as computer engineering wasn’t an option. I chose Davis, for the money, and I have no regrets. As pretty as Santa Clara is, when you go away to Davis you go away to a town that revolves around college life. It’s a great environment.</p>
