Sap appeal approval

Hi
I’m currently a 2nd year student entering my spring term but unfortunately I have had some tough news come to me. My financial aid has been suspended and I very afraid on what will be my future. i understand that It was my fault but life came in the way. I was just getting into my stride and improved significantly my fall 2016 semester but was not able to meet the 2.0 GPA requirement for Sap. I hoping someone can tell whether you would approve or denied my appeal? Thank you

Dear Financial Aid Appeals Committee:

What happened:

During my first year and half as a student at Rowan, I have been responsible for taking care of my little sister, who was diagnosed with special needs at 2 years old. My parents had to work more to help pay for my tuition, This wouldn't have been a problem because I had my grandmother stay with us but she wasn't presently there at the time. She had her own health issues, so she had to move back with my aunt for a while. So consequently I had to take up the majority of the load in the helping of my sister, This was taking my sister to required doctor appointments, also bringing her to school, etc. This had an affect on my attendance for classes and my academic progress.

What has changed:

Now with my grandma health back in check, she coming back to live with us. Now I can confidently take on my courses and improve academic progress. I have already register for classes that I have failed and need to be repeated. I have also met with academic adviser several times to talk about my future success at Rowan university, including talking to the career office about future career paths in Finance. I also plan on going to tutoring 3 times a week during my semester for any of my courses. Plus engaging with my professors more with getting extra, which I previously did not take the opportunity too.

I hope this appeal show that I’m serious about my continuing my success at Rowan and that I’m dedicated to improving myself academic standing drastically. I know I cannot change the poor mistakes I have made in the past but intend to fix them without hesitant. This decision is up to you the committee to see whether I'm worthy to continue my aid or not.
                                                 Thank you
