ok, so im a soph and taking the SAT 1 in october. My parents told me to study a lot for it but i told them that i dont want to study now because i want to see how well i can do on the test without practice and stuff to see where im at and will eventually work on the weak points. They laughed and told me i should study. Am i right or them? my idea seems good.

thats what the PSATs are for. Don't take the SATs until you are ready.

seriously...a sophomore? Do not take the SATs.

im a junior and im taking it

i wanna see what its like, a lot of ppl told me that its much harder than the psat so i want to see for myself, i took the psat alrdy... yea

If you want to see what it's like, just take a CB practice test. Don't bother with an actual SAT, since you won't do as well as a sophomore as you could, and then you'll have a not-so-hot score on your record. Wait until you're a junior.
