**SAT 2 Math II Discussion Thread December 2015**

The international and US versions are the same.

The last part (36-50) was HARD

Any predictions for the curve??

The usual, I suppose. RAW >=44 =800

Any tips for specific topics?

Honestly it was harder than I expected. I focused mainly on physics & only did 1 of barrons practice test. Omitted 7. Probably got 8-10 wrong. I will be lucky if I get a 680.

Are there any hard probability questions? Are there vectors, conics, matrices, or polar coordinates?

What topics do you think I should study in the one hour I have? :))

@Livingteen1209 what was hard about it, was it content or just how they were phrased? anything I can prep for?

Much easier than expected…

Did you take both Math II and Math I? It wasn’t bad, just probability sucks.

The first 40 were really easy then the last 10 were harder for me. I skipped 7. What do we think the curve will be?

What did you guys get for the question that had some quadratic = another equation (with constants a and b) and we had to find what a was? I got -2 but I put it last minute so I’m not sure.

Also what about the one that had a table with x and y values and it had the roman numerals saying which one must be true, it was towards the end. I got that I, II, and III had to be true, is that right?

@curlypie99 I also got -2 and i, ii, and iii but I’m not sure too!

I messed up the absolute value of sine x own I put 2pie instead of pie

I’m pretty sure of the -2 own tho

I put only i for that i didn’t put i, ii, and iii… what was the questio nagain??

About f(x) and x

@rogerfedererfan1 it had a table with x and y values, and it had roman numerals and the question was “which of the following must be true?” i dont remember the order of the roman numerals but they were something like:

I. There is at least one term with an odd degree.
II. There is at least one negative root.
III. There is at least one term with a degree of 3 (something like that)

I put that all 3 had to be true but I answered it in like the last 10 seconds so I’m not 100% sure i was right

If I got both of those answers right then I think I got an 800!! I skipped 7 and I’m pretty sure those were the only two I would’ve missed so my raw score would be a 43.

Wow I felt like this is harder than official practice test. Or is it just me? Hopefully the curve will be good.

P.s anyone know if brown or Cornell would still accept January subject test score?

@HelloEveryone27 I thought it was MUCH harder than the official practice test, but you have to keep in mind that those were administered years ago and they’ve made the test harder since then. They should really release more recent official tests.

oops i meant I put III for that cuz I and II aren’t true… I isn’t true because it could still have even degree if the graph went back down and it’s not II because there was no negative root… it went (-5,2) to (0, -1) so there didn’t have to be a negative root

^I doubt cornell or brown will accept because the result will be out in January
