SAT 2 Requirements

I have taken the US History, World History and Math II SAT 2's. Someone told me UVa recommends the Literature SAT 2 specifically.

Is this true?

Should I take the test in January or am I fine?

How important are SAT II scores in admission? (Or in other words, how much can good SAT II scores impact decision)

On their website it says that you can send in any two subject test scores “of your choice.” It doesn’t say anything about any particular subjects. But, it would probably be preferable to have two contrasting subjects (like a history and a math). So, I’m sure you’re fine.

But, I am also concerned about the importance of subject tests in the admissions process. I have a 730 on one test and am sending that but my next best score is a 580. Should I send this score or only send the 730 even though they strongly recommend sending two?? I need advice.

No are no subject preferences at all. You do not have to have “contrasting” subjects.

Just send your scores. I think many of you over think these things. The SAT IIs are one hour each. Take them, send the scores, and move on.

thank you for your help Dean J :D
