SAT 2160 or ACT 35

Hi,

I got a 2160 on my SAT Reasoning and a 35 on my ACT.

My ACT score is considerably higher and I don't really want to send my SAT score to colleges, so do I still have to to write my SAT score on my CommonApp?

Thanks in advance.

I don’t think you have to…

thanks but are you sure??

Unless the admissions policy is to report scores from all tests taken, you do not need to include the SAT score.

By way of comparison, if you won an award in English for using the best diction during class, it is up to you whether or not to list the award on your app. You probably would omit it in favor of more prestigious awards, but you can list it if you like.

Test scores, by their nature, attempt to evaluate you based on your best day. Colleges don’t care how many times you tried to show your best, or even who evaluated you best (SAT vs. ACT). They are simply looking for a snapshot.
