<p>I'm fairly familiar with college's requirements on ACT/SAT/SAT II's; however, I was wondering how my situation would be viewed.</p>

<p>I have taken the ACT twice (freshmen and sophomore years) and the SAT once (earlier this year). I plan on taking both the SAT and ACT at least one more time and I am considering taking the SAT II's. So far, my SAT score is much higher than my ACT score. Part of this is due to the fact that the last time I took my ACT was last April and I took the SAT in December; however, I still feel that I will have a higher SAT score than ACT score. I realize that if you send your SAT you have to send up to 2-3 SAT II's for some schools also. What I'm wondering is, if I score say a 2200 on the SAT and a 31 on the ACT (with the SAT being higher according to conversion charts), would it be better for me to send both so admissions could see that I got that 2200 on the SAT, but then the ACT score (with writing) would mean I wouldn't have to take the SAT II's? The main thing for me is, I've taken the SAT and ACT in the past and feel that I can keep improving my scores and I don't want to have to take the SAT II's unless I have to.</p>

<p>So would Higher SAT+Lower ACT= No SAT II's?</p>

<p>There are schools that normally require SAT IIs that will accept the ACT in lieu of both SAT and SAT IIs. However, none of those combine the SAT with ACT. They use for admission either the SAT plus SAT IIs, alternatively the ACT, but not a combination of both ACT and SAT. Thus sending those schools both SAT and ACT (but no SAT IIs) means only the ACT will be considered.</p>

<p>Other schools that require SAT IIs require them regardless of whether you submit SAT or ACT. Thus, for those schools you must still submit SAT IIs if you submit ACT and if you submit SAT, ACT and SAT IIs, they will choose between SAT and the ACT the one they believe is the higher and consider that one for admission along with the SAT IIs.</p>
