Do I have to have scores for both tests when I send in my application?

No - whichever is highest…if you took both…which IMHO…you should.
Good luck!

Okay, thank you!

If I were to take them multiple times how would the determin my score? Do they just take the highes combined score?

USAFA “super-scores” standardized tests. They will take the highest score from different areas of different tests. Example: Your June 2011 SAT was 700 CR & 650 M - then you retake the SAT in Aug 2011 and received 680 CR & 700 M. Your SAT score for USAFA purposes world be 1400 - June’s 700 CR + August’s 700 M.
It is worthwhile to take both tests (SAT & ACT) to see which you do better on, and then take that one multiple times to try to improve. Get your USAFA application and all supporting documents in early and then continue to update your standardized test scores as they (hopefully) improve.

FWIW - AFROTC does NOT super-score. They take the best scores from ONE test. Still worthwhile to take the tests multiple times, but not quite as advantageous of a system as USAFA uses.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info I really appreciate it.
