I have read various places that even though the official date for scores to be released is Feb 14 (for the Jan 26) we could expect results sooner than that. What is the quickest anyone has gotten their results? And has anyone used the rush score option? How fast did it work?
Son and I didn't realize Denver had a Feb 1st deadline and this could put him out of everything.
I know this technically is an SAT question, but I know the people on the music major area are very knowledgeable and I also wondered if perhaps the deadline would be extended a bit if a school reallllllllly wanted that student??
Also, we haven't actually auditioned yet and I don't want to buy plane tickets, etc if this delay in scores will put him out of the running for anything.
Thanks!

Check with Denver or the website as to the last SAT date they will accept. If it is 1/26, then you are fine. Did your son take the SAT as a junior. If so and worst came to worse and Denver had to have the SAT score by the application deadline, you have the CB rush the score to them or it may be on his transcript.

Thanks – no he is a senior. We didn’t have him take the SAT last year because he was only considering Berklee. Then this year when he thought he’d include Denver, we were unable to do 2 of the earlier tests (one for illness, the other for an audition conflict).
I talked to Denver and we’re hoping the SAT results just come out earlier than expected.

Shellybean, we had to “rush” my son’s scores last year to ALL of his schools. He made a big error assuming that his college guidance counselor did it (must have been sleeping in his college seminar class that day) and I discovered it well past the deadline. He went in to panic mode, called the schools to explain, and we “rushed” the scores. I think it only took a day. If you go on the College Board it will explain in detail how it works. I think if a school wants your S, they will accommodate. My S was accepted in to all of his schools so they must have understood. Also, I do believe you report your scores on the Common App. It isn’t official but at least it gives the schools an idea of what they are before the official scores from the college board arrive.

Thank you. We will find out Monday if they will allow his scores to be sent late.
