<p>Is it better to take both the SAT and ACT or just one of the two?</p>

<li>For example is it better to get maybe a 2300 on just the SAT?.... or,</li>
<li>a 2200 SAT with a 35 ACT</li>

<p>I just need to know, so I will know if I have to prepare for both, or just one.</p>
<p>You don’t need them both, although I know plenty of people in my graduating high school class who took them both and went to elite colleges (Carnegie Mellon, Notre Dame, and Georgetown). I think it had more to do with their high scores, and not the fact that they took two different entrance exams. My advice is to just prepare for and take the SAT. The ACT is the “alternative” entrance exam for college, in my opinion. </p>
