Does any one know any techniques to help me raise my SAT Reading score about 70 - 100 points? My range is about 610 - 630; and I want to get it up to 700+.
Any technique would help!!
Everything is stated literally in the passage. The lucidness with which you can discern the literal meaning to answer the given question will depend on your vocabulary skills (along with some fundamental logic). I’ve gotten an 800 3 times before on the CR section, so if you need some more in depth advice, feel free to email me (pm me for email).
Also as someone who received a perfect 800 on CR (not without struggles however: 630 first time 670 second time 800 third time), I want to emphasize to you that the question asks for the BEST answer (not an okay answer, not a good answer, but the BEST answer). This will require a lot of practice and reading (there’s no way you can get around this). You also need a thorough understanding of a thorough list of SAT vocabulary. Lastly, READ AT YOUR OWN PACE. There is no value in skimming over a passage just to re-read it again once you get to the questions (biggest waste of time in the CR).
