^I remember putting more statistics

What did fixate mean for the memory passage?

Was the difference between the two passages one had more statistical projections?

@lilacp Yea I did, it was my first section so I don’t remember much, but it had a short passage on how we should be trying to find out why calculus, and math, in general, work. It was pretty easy. You might’ve had a different one.

anyone know the other word/phrase that accompanied “from nature” in that ink passage? with the musk? i thought all the choices had two phrases/words. i.e desirable/difficult to find and aesthetic/practical

^ there was ‘artistic expression in lettering’. Can’t seem to remember the answer I put.

Edit: Another was ‘common ingredient in ink’ which is what I picked.

for fixative i put the one with trying to help not forget the story… i think it was choice D. for the musk one, i put A… the most prevalent ingredient… only bc it seemed so necessary to get rid of the smell. but i have noo idea

also, did you guys put disciplined or versatile for “because she was methodical in all of her roles, she was considered ________ by producers and directors.”

I put versatile but I am 100% sure it was discipline.

Just a general CR question. Kind of (read: extremely) panicky because I got an 800 first time I took the SAT but I’m pretty sure I bombed this time. I mean, I didn’t get a 500, but this time seemed way harder and I’m pretty sure it’s like a 750 or lower. Will colleges be totally upset by this? I don’t want it to look like my first 800 was luck D: (which it may well have been, haha, I just don’t want it to appear that way!)

luck or not, it’s still an 800 and they have to respect that. people have good and bad days and it can result in a significant disparity in scores from one sitting to another. Then again, I’ve been told that the computer automatically shows them your highest subscores, so they may not even see it unless they really cared to.

My goodness this is a long thread. All I can say is, ignorance is bliss.

Thanks! I also got a 780 on the Lit Subject Test (essentially similar to CR, I guess) so I’m hoping that will end colleges’ suspicions of luck for the most part. Yeah, today was a combination of horrible week + no sleep + odd questions (in my opinion) so I guess I’ll just hope and wait for the 22nd.

I hadn’t heard that about computers just showing the best subscores, I really hope that’s true ahhhh!

I got that directly from a USC assistant director of admissions. It might not hold true for all colleges.

I think to ease my ‘insane senior’ state of mind, I’m just going to choose to believe it’s a universal truth
Thanks for the help and hope you get the score you want! :)

hold up, this is freaking me out. i bascially read through this whole passage and nobody has talked about having an experimental CR passage but i am almost positive I had one… did anyone have the section with the long reading passage about the daughter who is a writer and she is visiting her mother who is like a civil rights fighter or something? cus i thought that was hard as crap and i havent seen any questions on it in this thread??

same SAT100 :’(

the word “all” was deceptive…

compiled listttt anyone??! :)

@diana Nice positive attitude

Have we come to an agreement that the answer to the plasticity/juxtaposition/semblance is…juxtaposition?

What’s wrong with my attitude?
