SAT Critical Reading vs SAT II Literature

What's the difference? I mean, I know that they aren't the same but is SAT II harder, different types of questions asked, etc?

Yeah, I was wondering that too, because I'm thinking of taking the Lit..

Questions ask you to demonstrate how well you understand the following literary concepts:

* meaning, including theme, argument and specific connotations of words
* form, including genre, structure and organization
* tone, including diction, syntax and emphasis
* figurative language, including imagery
* narrative voice
* characterization

my guess would be its pretty much the same, but obviously there is more on the sat ii, not necessarily harder?

No thats not correct at all

well then...youre not much help

jeeze birdman, you don't have to be rude.

Note: from now on everyone is to refer to GinPA by his (unoffically) given name: Birdman.

I read a thread that the SAT 11 lit is more like the AP lit test. And the order of difficultly starting with the easiest is SAT CR, SAT11 Lit, AP lit

Yeah from what i understand Literature isnt that much harder then the SAT's because 1. The passages are a lot shorter which in turn makes 2. The questions easier to answer. But the questions go more in depth in terms of literary terms. You have to be able to draw more complex conclusions and you also have to be able to examine poems, which tend to be a whole lot more abstract. Overall i dont think its a hard test, im just wondering what the curve is like. From what ive heard you either get lucky with an easy test or you get ripped apart - theres no in between. GL to all im taking it in May because its the same week as my A.P. Language and Composition exam. Hah... need to study for that one too.
