Does anyone know are found a link of the average SAT scores of african americans

You can probably somehow derive it from the National achievement cutoff scores. I know the cut-off scores are low compared to normal National merit (by like 20-30 points, I am guessing), so that might tell you something about the average SAT scores. The highest PSAT score achieved by an african-american from my HS last year was around 210.

it's around 1300.

I feel bad for those kids, that's a lot of kids who just don't care. You must wonder where they end up.

^^most black people attend under-funded schools that do not adequately prepare them for standardized tests like the SAT's. Teachers at my old school work to help kids pass state-mandated tests (like Georgia High School Graduation Test). SO there is no need to "feel sorry" for them. Most of it isn't our fault.

Considering that the truly average SAT score, nationwide, is 1500, it's not that bad.

The average SAT score among middle class/upper middle class African Americans will be drastically different.

Mcdonald's

there's a large amount of blacks who are poor and still have awesome SAT scores so watch what you say. also koolmaria is right they dont have the proper education that many other races have so stop degrading it to " oh they'll be flipping my burgers or some s**t like that please.

It's interesting to see that males have actually outperformed females on both math and critical reading portions even though people say women are traditionally stronger in reading and writing.

They just had a study done that says if your ring finger is longer than your pointer finger you are math/science inclined. If your pointer is longer than ring you are reading/English inclined. They linked it to hormones early in development, it is actually true.

^^
Seriously? Can I please see the link?

"I feel bad for those kids, that's a lot of kids who just don't care. You must wonder where they end up"

Truly ignorant. No one says you have to have a high SAT score to live a successful life. That's been proven by thousands of studies.

I think the poster that you're quoting is wondering what happens to those kids who "just don't care"...it's not about the SAT but about how they don't care about education

also, I wonder why males outperform females on the SAT...both sexes receive the same education...
