SAT deadline this friday!

I have a 1290/1600. 640 math and 650 reading. Is this too low for UNC? I live near Charlotte, so obviously I'm in-state.

My gpa is about 4.6
Rank is top 10% (probably top 5% now)
ECs are decent. Nothing special but nothing horrible.

I really don't feel like studying for the SATs again and taking the stupid test again but I will if I have to. UNC is my top choice with Davidson as my 2nd choice. Deadline is this Friday so I would appreciate as many opinions as I can get by Thursday! Thanks

I doubt if high enuf for Davidson....such a small class they admit but probably good enuf for UNC instate status.....or very close. You know if you take it again, you report highest in each area. Why not give it one more go?!

I'm having the same dilemma. My stats are similar to yours (4.8 gpa, high class rank, etc) and my sat is 1300/1600, 2000/2400. I think I'm gonna re-take the SATs since only the highest scores count, and if I do score higher (hopefuly!) I have a better chance at getting in and getting some local scholarships.

But looking at stats, a 1290 falls in the middle 50% so even if you don't take it, you'll probably be safe. But it doesn't hurt trying if you're willing to give up a saturday morning.

bump...deadline is tommorow actually! Any quick replys would be nice.

I have a 1290/1600. 2000/2400. 4.64 weighted GPA. 4.0 UW, In-state, female, class rank 7/318, 29 ACT. not going to retake b/c I think i might be morally opposed to that test. no jk. i just really don't want to.

I ended up signing up for it. Mostly for local scholarships and what not. Plus if I do better, higher chance of getting into UNC eh?

Then again, just to be clear. If I drop in scores, they will look at the highest no matter what?
