hi, I scored a m700/cr730/w690 (essay 12) on the recent march sat. Although I am happy with this score, I am just wondering if I should also send in my October Sat scores of m720/cr650/W700 (essay 12) to colleges for the purpose of superscoring. Is it worth the higher superscore even if they will see my lower critical reading score? Also, I was wondering what colleges do with the writing score. Do they modify the scores by excluding the essay becuase this would obviously hurt me.

hmmm — I’m answering your last question: I don’t think they modify your writing score.

MC and essay scores are reported separately, so they will see your MC subscore. I don’t think they will “modify” your score though.

which score fo you think is more important to colleges, a high mc or a high essay
